I love the sun!!

I know, I know, I haven't posted in a long time and I probably won't be posting much this summer. I just love being outside way too much to sit at the computer.

My good friend Chelsea is moving away soon, and Sandra was so great to put together a going away party for her. It was so much fun and I loved seeing you girls again. I am going to miss you Chels, that is for sure!

Well it is time for me to go back outside, just wanted to let you all know I haven't quite I'm just on summer break.

Look, Look, See, See

Life is Good!

I haven't posted since we got home from Hawaii so here is what we've been up to for a the past little while.....

Xander turned 4 years old on March 19. He chose to have his birthday party at Classic Skating, and wanted to invite everyone he has ever met (including his "Best Friend Fred' who's about 50 and lives in Seattle). I need to thank everyone that came, it was super short notice and I think almost everyone he asked was there. The next day we left for St. George (Jeff work's down south once a month) and luckily the weather was great!! The kids and I were able to hang out at the pool while Jeff was at work and I got to see my sister Lindsey and her cute family while we were there.

On April 8 2008, Morgan lost her 1st tooth! She was so excited to have a loose tooth that she kept asking for carrots and apples "Cause they make it looser". She came up to me out of the blue and said "I'm ready, pull it out!" 1...2...3...YANK...loud crying..."did you get it?"..."Yep, sure did"...then a lot of laughter. She said she hoped the Tooth Fairy would leave her a pony. What??? Unfortunately the Tooth Fairy is lame and forgot to come 2 nights in a row, but guess what...no pony just a lot of money cause she felt pretty guilty.

Then it was back to St. George, this time Jeff had work and a tennis tournament he was playing in. He won his first match but didn't go on, awwww that's okay he'll get it next time.

And last but not least, Porter had his first "Pine Wood Derby" race, and he was the big winner!!!
there were about 16 cars and every race his car was in, he came in first. He and his dad spent a night making the car and I'm sure you will agree it is pretty good looking ride. Great job Porter!

Well that is a recap of what has been going on, and I just have to say, life is good!

What a great trip!!

We had such a great time in Hawaii, a little tennis, playing in the ocean, lots of sun, and good food (except Bubba's blah blah Burgers). We spent a good amount of time boogie boarding and "found that it was a sport we all enjoyed and were good at". Too bad the first time in the waves Jeff got some bad blisters on his feet (from the swim fins), Robyn couldn't keep her suit on, and Jason got stung by a Sea Urchin (that was the day before and no, no one had to pee on him). So the next day Robyn and I decided to go on a run to the surf shop to get some rashgaurds and scuba socks so we could all play comfortably. The run ended up being extremely short since the surf shop was only about 50 steps from the Hotel. After boogie boarding for a while at a great beach in Kapa'a we went to check out a place called Queen's Bath for snorkeling.

Very cool place but it was a little rough for snorkeling. A big wave hit while we were in the water and knocked all of our stuff off the rocks. A second wave - bigger than the first - hit and I guess everyone was done playing.

We had a good mix of adventure and relaxation, but in my opinion, just a little too much time in the car. On our last full day we decided to go on a hike. The plan was to hike to a waterfall that was four miles in and I would say pretty treacherous.

View of the famous Napali Coast.

From there, we hiked down to a beach where the water was so high that there was no beach just rocks.

Continuing on up again, following the river, to find the waterfall. This part of the hike was pretty fun, lots of cool stuff to see.

Robyn is so cute!

And then after a lot more hiking...we get to the waterfall...

By the time we got there we had no more drinking water, I think we were all hungry and I was ready to get back to playing in the ocean, so I pretty much ran back. Jeff had on some $8.00 "el cheapo" boat shoes with no socks, and started getting blisters (in addition to what he had already) about a half mile into our 8 mile quest. He wanted to get back just as much as I did so he could rest his ouchie feets. Needless to say, getting there took much longer than going back. All in all I'm glad we did the hike, but Jason said it best as we had our picture taken. The woman taking the pic said "say cheese" and he yelled "Never Again!".

(I hate this pic of me but it was the picture previously mentioned so it has to be posted. Um could I be sticking my belly out any further or what?)

Oh yeah, Robyn took a picture of Jeff's feet when we got back...

Poor guy.

We had such a great time, I wish it could have lasted longer but we were happy to go home to our kids. Thanks Pecks for coming with us, I can't wait for the next trip.

I'll try to figure out a slide show thing to show more pics.
